Day-01: Step on Kathmandu(1,350M./4,429FT.)
From 1st step off to the land of Nepal, Complete our mandatory custom Formalities -Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Himalayan Traverse representative is excited and full of joy for you at the gate who will lead us to the Hotel. The rest of the day taking rest to get recharged after the tiredness of the long flight.
Visit four landmarks, including three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with a professional licensed guide who will help you understand Kathmandu's deep historical significance. Explore Swayambhunath and Bauddhanath stupas, Pashupatinath Temple, and Kathmandu Durbar Square. With the insights you gain, you'll feel truly welcomed as part of a family. Day-03: Manthali to Lukla (2,860 m/9,383 ft.) Flight: 45 min & Phakding Trek (2,651m/8,700ft): 3-4 hrs walk
A quick scenic mountain flight takes us to Lukla, one of the best parts of the trip. The journey to Everest Base Camp begins with landing at Tenzing Hillary Airport, the gateway to the mountains. From there, we start our hike to Phakding, passing through Cheplung Village. Along the way, we get a view of Khumbila, which is 5760 meters high, but it hasn't been climbed yet, leaving us with a mix of confusion and frustration. Overnight at Phakding.
Day-04: Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft.)Trek: 5-6 hours walk
We begin our hike by the Dudhkoshi River, near the entrance to Sagarmatha National Park. We head north through the pine forest towards Namche Bazaar, following the valley of Benkar, also known as the "Gateway to Mount Everest." This path often causes confusion and frustration due to the tricky trail. Along the way, we get a view of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day-05: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization
An acclimatization day. You can choose any activities you like since it's a rest day at the main center of the region, which has markets and services available to a good extent. A brief hike to Khumjung or Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the towering Himalayas, would be perfect for the day. Take a short visit to the Sherpa Museum and Khumjung School nearby to experience the Sherpa culture and learn about the history of mountaineering. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day-06: Tengboche (3,870m/12,694 ft.) or Deboche (3860m/12,665 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
We enjoyed amazing views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Nuptse, Mount Amadablam, and Kongde throughout the journey. As we traveled, we passed through forests with rhododendrons, which are the national flower of Nepal, as well as birch and conifer trees. Finally, we reached our destination, Tengboche. There, we visited the largest monastery in the area, known as Tengboche Monastery.Overnight at Tengboche or Deboche.
Day-07:Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
Descending through the forest by Mount Everest, Mount Amadablam, and Mount Lhotse. Moving forward towards Imja Valley crossing the Imja River and up to Dingboche, observe the agricultural environment of barley, buckwheat, and potato fields away from the grazing animals by walls on our way, “Pangboche Monastery” in Pangboche as per the name. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day-08: Dingboche Acclimatization
An Acclimatization Day. With no compulsion make it to Nagarjuna Hill and Chukkung nearby for some excellent views of the Himalayas(Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache, and Ama Dablam) to make it like a day of acclimatization. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day-09: Lobuche (4,940 m/16,207 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
Through the Khumbu glaciers at the terminal moraine, we climb up to Chupki Lhara. See prayer flags and stones(memorials to Scott Fischer (American mountaineer)) on our way up. With clear views of peaks like Khumbutse, Lingtren, Mahalangur Himal, and Pumori, we reach Lobuche situated beneath the Lhotse Ridge. Overnight at Lobuche.
Day-10: Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), Ascend Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Our final destination is Everest Base Camp. It's definitely going to be an experience filled with challenges. We'll start by making our way to Gorak Shep first, then head toward Everest Base Camp. Along the way, we'll pass by several mountains, including Nuptse, Pumori, and Khumbutse. Once we reach Everest Base Camp, we'll spend the day exploring the area. For the night, we'll return to Gorakshep.
Day-11 : Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) Back to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070 ft.) 7-8 hrs walk
Head to Kala Patthar to witness the breathtaking sunrise against the towering Himalayas. From the top, we take in the wide panoramic view before returning to Pheriche for the night.
Day 12: Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Descend Namche Bazaar crossing the rhododendron forests. With the natural beauty of the place and watching the smiley faces of Sherpa locals, we make our way down to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 13 : Lukla (2,800m/9,186 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Lukla today, making our way through the Sherpa villages. Rest at places like Phakding and after 1-2 hours, if needed, we reach Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu early in the morning tomorrow. Overnight at Lukla.

Today we will be bidding your farewell. I hope we get to see you back in Nepal again as a family for another adventurous trip. We will take you to the International airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight and finally, you will depart back for your homeland!

Just got home from our second trek in the Himalayas with Dorjee sherpa. We treked to tengboche for the mani rimdu festival. The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
