Everest Base Camp Trek, Everest's foot-5,364m. (17,598ft.) via Phaplu is a simpler form of the trek which lets you properly acclimatize from the lower lands to higher. Himalayan landscapes-rare flora, faunas-Buddhist culture & friendly Sherpa people living in it. Everest Base Camp trek via gives you an amazing viewpoint of the Kala Patthar, Everest Base Camp itself and confront the 4 World’s tallest mountains from the Himalayas with the highest peak, Mount Everest(Tallest), Mount Lhotse, Mount Makalu, and Mount Cho-Oyu.
Start by Drive to Phaplu, Sherpa village at a bit low. Sherpa villages and the culture from low lands, Cross adventurous routes, hiking challenging trails, along with the Dudhkoshi river at the side, an Experience & encourages to come to again, waterfalls, glaciers, Buddhist monasteries, Sherpa villages, flags with prayers,chortens and again to this beautiful place. Bounded by the Sagarmatha National Park, the World’s UNESCO Heritage site.
We, the Himalayan Traverse have designed this 19-days amazing trek for the trekkers and adventure lovers, who want to visit the Kalapatthar and the base camp of the World’s highest peak, Mount Everest through Phaplu.

Day-01: Step on Kathmandu(1,350M./4,429FT.)
From the moment we stepped off the plane into Nepal, we completed all the necessary customs formalities at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. A representative from Himalayan Traverse was there, excited and happy to meet us, guiding us to the hotel. The rest of the day was spent resting to recover from the long flight and the tiredness it brought.
Explore four key landmarks and three UNESCO World Heritage Sites in Kathmandu with a professional licensed guide who will help you understand the city's deep historical significance. Visit the Swayambhunath and Bauddhah Nath stupas, the Pashupatinath Temple, and the Kathmandu Durbar Square. As part of your experience, you'll gain valuable insights that make you feel like a welcomed member of a family. Enjoy a warm welcome dinner featuring traditional Nepalese cuisine, hosted by Himalayan Traverse, after getting to know the team and our guides in person.

The trail follows the way through the pine & rhododendron forests. As we walk thru a path with meadows Ringmo, a small Sherpa village. Get to see their amazing apply & peach orchards. Overnight at Ringmo.
A steep way thru lush trees forest again. Cross a suspension bridge by a place by name Nunthala. Walk along-Dudhkoshi river by our side. Nearer to Kharikhola, observe beautiful fields of barley, wheat & maize. Overnight at Kharikhola.
Dropping suspension bridge-1930m(Cross-Kharikhola). Steep till Bupsa, set among cascading wheat and maize terraces below a dense oak forest. Ascent thru Sherpa villages and a forest inhabited by monkeys, and then winds stir up and down through the Dudh Koshi canyon to Puiyan. Overnight at Paiyan.
Passing through the Tenzing-Hillary airport in Lukla, we head out for Phakding today which is an amazing Sherpa village. The trail takes us to up and down hills and alongside the Dudhkoshi river. Overnight at Phakding.
Day-08: Namche Bazaar (3,438m/11,280 ft.)Trek: 5-6 hrs walk
We begin our hike along the Dudhkoshi river, entering Sagarmatha National Park. As we head north up the valley of Benkar, also known as the "Gateway to Mount Everest," we pass through pine forests and reach Namche Bazaar. From there, we get a view of Mount Everest and Mount Lhotse.Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day-09: Namche Bazaar Acclimatization
An acclimatization day. You can choose any activities you like since it's a rest day at the main center of the region, which has markets and services available. A brief hike to Khumjung or Everest View Hotel, where you can enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas, would be a nice way to spend the day. You can also take a short visit to the Sherpa Museum and Khumjung School nearby to experience local Sherpa culture and learn about the history of mountaineering. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day-10 :Tyangboche (3,870m/12,694 ft.) or Deboche (3860m/12,665 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
Enjoy amazing views of the Himalayas, including famous peaks like Mount Everest, Mount Lhotse, Mount Nuptse, Mount Amadablam, and Kongde. As we travel, we pass through forests filled with rhododendrons, which are Nepal's national flower, along with birch and conifer trees. Eventually, we arrive at Tyangboche, our destination. There, we visit the largest monastery in the area, called Tyangboche Monastery. Overnight at Tyangboche or Deboche.
Day-11 :Dingboche (4,360 m/14,300 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
Descending through the forest by Mount Everest, Mount Amadablam, and Mount Lhotse. Moving forward towards Imja Valley crossing Imja river and up to Dingboche, observe the agricultural environment of barley, buckwheat, and potato fields away from the grazing animal by walls on our way, “Pangboche Monastery” in Pangboche as per the name. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day-12: Dingboche Acclimatization
An Acclimatization day. With no compulsion making it to Nagarjuna Hill and Chukkung nearby for some excellent views of the Himalayas(Makalu, Lhotse, Chalotse, Tawache, and Ama Dablam) to make it like a day of acclimatization. Overnight at Dingboche.
Day-13 : Lobuche (4,940 m/16,207 ft.): 5-6 hrs walk
As we pass through the Khumbu glaciers near the terminal moraine, we head up to Chupki Lhara. Along the way, we see prayer flags and stones, which are memorials dedicated to Scott Fischer, an American mountaineer. With clear views of several peaks including Khumbutse, Lingtren, Mahalangur Himal, and Pumori, we arrive at Lobuche, located below the Lhotse Ridge. Overnight at Lobuche.
Day-14: Gorak Shep (5,170 m/16,961ft), Ascend Everest Base Camp (5,364 m/17,594 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Everest Base Camp is our final destination. It's definitely going to be a challenging but memorable experience. We'll start by heading to Gorak Shep first, then move towards Everest Base Camp, following the Khumbu Glacier trails. Along the way, we'll see some impressive mountains like Nuptse, Pumori, and Khumbutse. After reaching Everest Base Camp, we'll spend the day exploring the area. For the night, we'll return to Gorakshep.
Day-15 :Kala Patthar (5,545m/18,192ft) Back to Pheriche (4,288m/14,070 ft.) 7-8 hrs walk
Depart for Kala Patthar to view the amazing sunrise seen from the Kala Patthar with the mighty Himalayas adding to it. Panorama from the top of Kala Patthar we head back to Pheriche for an overnight stay.
Day 16: Namche Bazaar (3,440m/11,280 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Descend Namche Bazaar crossing the rhododendron forests. With the natural beauty of the place and watching the smiley faces of Sherpa locals, we make our way down to Namche Bazaar. Overnight at Namche Bazaar.
Day 17 : Lukla (2,800m/9,186 ft.): 6-7 hrs walk
Lukla today, making our way through the Sherpa villages. Rest at places like Phakding and after 1-2 hours, if needy, we reach Lukla for the flight back to Kathmandu early in the morning tomorrow. Overnight at Lukla.
Flyback Kathmandu.
Today we will be biding your farewell. Hoping we get to see you back in Nepal again as a family for another adventurous trip. We will take you to the International airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight and finally, you will depart back for your homeland!

Just got home from our second trek in the Himalayas with Dorjee sherpa. We treked to tengboche for the mani rimdu festival. The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
