About Trip:
“River of Gold”
The Sun Koshi is the longest trip in river miles offered in Nepal and is rated as one of the top ten
river expeditions in the world.
Starting near the Tibetan border and draining off the Eastern Himalayas all the way to the sacred
Ganges River in India, this river offers big volume whitewater. A journey down this “river of
gold” impresses any rafting or kayaking enthusiast with relaxing canyons, refreshing waterfalls,
bat caves, interesting temples, beautiful white sandy beaches for setting up camp and of course a
great variety of whitewater.
If you are looking for a long river expedition with a nice variety of scenery and access to villages
along the way, then the “river of gold” is a classic choice.

DEPART FROM: Thamel Office, Kathmandu 6:30am (private bus)
START POINT: Dolalghat / 3 hours from Kathmandu
FINISH POINT: Chatara / 15 hours to Kathmandu (option to fly Biratnagar – Kathmandu)
RETURNS TO: Thamel Office, (private bus & tourist bus) Lakeside Center, Pokhara (private bus)
MEALS: Day 1 = lunch & dinner Days 2-8 = breakfast, lunch & dinner Day 9: breakfast
ACCOMMODATION: 7 nights riverside beach camping 1-night camp or hotel inbound

Trek to Tyangboche
Just got home from our second trek in the Himalayas with Dorjee sherpa. We treked to tengboche for the mani rimdu festival. The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
