The trek starts in Kathmandu, where we explore the city's UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Then we drive to Syabrubesi, a Tamang village situated along the banks of the Bhote Koshi River, and begin our trek. The following day, we reach Kyanjin Gompa and then climb Tserko Ri, offering stunning views of the Langtang Lirung mountain range, which peaks at 7,200 meters. We continue trekking through the beautiful Langtang Valley and arrive at Gosaikunda, a sacred site for both Buddhists and Hindus. The area is named after Gosaikunda Lake, known for its sparkling waters believed to have magical healing properties. As we trek onward, we pass by several more lakes and cross the Laurebina Pass. Our journey then enters the Helambu Valley. One of the special highlights is reaching the top of Ama Yangri, which stands at 3,800 meters. From there, the view of the Himalayas is said to be as breathtaking as that from Poon Hill. Mt. Shishapangma and the Langtang ranges appear so close that it feels like we could reach out and touch them. We spend a few more days trekking in the Helambu region before ending our mountain adventure with a drive back to Kathmandu.
