Rara Trek Highlights:-
The Rara Lake Trek is a special experience for those who want to walk through the remote areas of western Nepal. The trip takes 15 days and starts with a visit to a UNESCO World Heritage Site in Kathmandu. Then you fly to Nepalgunj and from there to Total. From Total, you begin a journey that offers peaceful moments and the chance to see the stunning Rara Lake. It is the highest lake in Nepal and the locals lovingly call it the Queen of the Seas. Along the way, you will also enter Rara National Park, which is one of the most beautiful parks in the world. It is home to animals like the musk deer, black Himalayan bear, leopard, Himalayan goral, and many others. As you travel, you will be surrounded by snowy mountains, green forests, and lovely lakes. You will also get to see how the local people live in this faraway place.

Day-01: Step on Kathmandu(1,350M./4,429FT.)
From 1st step off to the land of Nepal, Completing our mandatory custom Formalities -Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Himalayan Traverse representative excited full of joy for you at the gate who will lead us to Hotel. Rest of the day taking rest to get recharged after the tiredness of the long flight.

Day-03: Nepalgunj Flight, 1 hr.
We begin the day with a one-hour flight from Kathmandu to Nepalgunj, situated in western Nepal near the Nepal-India border. Nepalgunj serves as the gateway to Simikot in Humla and is an interesting Terai town showcasing diverse cultures. During our stay, we explore the local market, visit a mini-zoo, and tour nearby villages.

Day 04: Fly Jumla (2,540m/8,334ft), 20 mins.
After breakfast, we leave the Terai plains of Nepalgunj & fly to the hilly terrain of Total, one of the most inaccessible regions in Nepal. It is located in the mountainous country of Sisne Himalaya, Total, & is a gateway for pedestrians who want to explore the remote area of Nepal's Karnali. Absolutely night.
Day 05: Trek Chere Chaur (3,055m/10,023ft)
Today marks the first day of our journey. We trek from Total to Chere Chaur, near Jugad Khola. Along the way, we pass through Khalanga Bazzar, a small local marketplace, as well as several villages and a temple, before arriving at our destination.

Day 06: Chalachaur (2,980m/9,777ft)
From Chere Chaur, we follow the western route and gradually ascend to Jaljala (3,580 m). After a slight descent, we continue straight to Jaljala Chaur. From there, the trail climbs alongside the road as we enter the Rara Lake Circuit, eventually reaching Chalachaur for our overnight stay.

Day 07: Sinja Valley (2,490m)
Climbing the mountain to Sinja Valley. Along the way, we pass many villages & then along the Jaljala Khola River. Sinja Valley is an important site in Nepal's history. The valley is home to the ancient capital of the Khasa Empire, which dominated the area from the 12th to the 14th century. Archaeological excavations of temples, temples, & archeology were discovered during the opening of the Department of Archeology at Cambridge University. Overnight in Sinja Valley.
Day 08: Ghorosingha (3,050m/10,007ft)
We leave Sinja on an uphill trail near the Hima River. Leaving the village, we climbed the hill for a while following a very simple route to Laha Village. From Laha, it climbs a mountain to Gorhosingha near Ghatte Khola (river). Overnight in Grozore.
Day 09: Rara Lake (3,010m/9,876ft)
After breakfast, we begin a steeper climb, following a trail near Cochhemara Danda, which offers breathtaking views of the Himalayas, the tranquil Rara Lake, and the lush greenery of Rara National Park. Along the way, we pass Khatyar Khola Camp and several villages, including Murma. From Murma, we continue over gentle hills through the Chapri district, passing the Rara National Park Headquarters, before reaching Rara Lake for our overnight stay.

Day 10: Explore Rara Lake(2,990m)
Rara Lake is Nepal's largest freshwater lake. After breakfast, we explore the waters of the great lake also known as Mahendra Taal (Lake) behind the late king Mahendra. While sailing we love the beauty of the place in the lake & catch a few species of fish. Chuchemara Peak(south side of Rara Lake) & the peaks -Ruma Kand & Malika Kand lie north. Day 11: Pina(2,440m/8,006ft)
From Rara Lake, we follow an easier, more direct route to Gamgadhi, the capital of Mugu District. From Gamgadhi, the trail descends steeply to Pina Village, where we will spend the night.

Day 12: Bumra (2,850m/9,351ft)
Descend & cross the Ghurchi Lagna pass(3480 m.). Continue descent & pass-thru few villages before reaching Bumra.(AKA Nauri Ghat).
Day 13: Jumla (2,540m/8,334ft)
We crossed two bridges over the Hima River and descended a steep slope. After a few hours of trekking, we reached the hot springs, where we relaxed and soothed our tired muscles with a dip. Shortly after, we crossed Danphe Lagna Road at 3,691 meters. Upon reaching Chere Chaur, we retraced the trail we had taken a few days earlier and finally arrived at Total. A truly memorable night.
Day 14: Fly Nepalgunj, Fly Kathmandu
We take the first flight to be found in Nepalgunj from Total. After Nepalgunj, we returned to Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal. After arriving in Kathmandu, we are refreshed & relieved.

Today we will be biding your farewell. Hoping we get to see you back in Nepal again as a family for another adventurous trip. We will take you to the International airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight & finally, you will depart back for your homeland!

Just got home from our second trek in the Himalayas with Dorjee sherpa. We treked to tengboche for the mani rimdu festival. The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
