Makalu Base Camp Trek: Lying on the eastern part of Nepal (remote area) in Makalu Barun National Park with its status as the world's 5th tallest mountain(8,463m). Unquestionably high altitude terrain, snow-capped landscapes would upshot one of the most beautiful mountain Panoramas to be observed. A bit of good physical condition would permit a person to unique cultural heritage and awe-inspiring views of mountain peaks. What makes it even more interesting is the extraordinary temperate passes called Keke la Pass(4,230m) & TuTu la Pass(4200m). With the white noise of the overflowing waterfalls, the quietude of the place, Modesty with natural habitat this would undoubtedly be a go.

DAY-01: Step on Kathmandu (1,300M./4,264 FT.)
From 1st step off to the land of Nepal, Completing our mandatory custom Formalities -Tribhuwan International Airport, Kathmandu. Himalayan Traverse representative excited full of joy for you at the gate who will lead us to Hotel. Rest of the day taking rest to get recharged after the tiredness of the long flight.
Visit four major landmarks, including three UNESCO World Heritage Sites, with a professional licensed guide who will help you understand the deep history of Kathmandu. You'll visit Swayambhunath Stupa, Bauddhanath Stupa, and Pashupatinath Temple, along with Kathmandu Durbar Square. After learning so much, you'll feel like part of a family during a welcome dinner featuring warm Nepalese food. The dinner is hosted by Himalayan Traverse, and it happens after you meet the team and get to know our guides personally. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 03:Tumlingtar Flight then Drive Chichira (1,980m/6497ft): 50 mins flight, 3-4 hours drive
We begin our adventure with a scenic flight to Tumlingtar, offering magnificent aerial views of the Himalayan range. Upon arrival, we take a drive to Chichira, a charming Gurung village, home to one of Nepal’s well-known ethnic groups of Mongolian descent. The day is spent resting and preparing for the trek ahead.

Day 04:Num (1,560m/5119ft): 6-7 hours
Num is the destination for the day(hills like there is no plain area). Walkthrough the wave-like land & mountain forests lush will take us to Num. Ridgeline with views(both sides) & roost on the conclusion, Num. Overnight in Num.
Day 05:Seduwa (1,500m/4922 ft): 6-7 hours
We descend steeply through forests and terraced farms toward the Barun River, where we cross and begin a challenging ascent on the opposite side. The hike can be warm, but the shaded forested valleys provide some relief. This area marks the start of Makalu Barun National Park, where we register our trekking permits. We set up camp at the highest point in the village.
Overnight stay in Seduwa.
Day 06:Tashigaon (2,100m/6890ft): 4-5 hours
Climb the ridge bounded by the Ipsuwa Khola west & Kasuwa Khola to the east. Cross the hillside thru quiet-villages & spending by small paddy fields, reach the exotic village of Tashi Gaon. Once there, are surrounded by a wide-ranging Himalayan panorama. Overnight in Tashigaon.
Day 07: Khongma Danda (3,500m/11,483 ft): 6-7 hours
Touch of a troublesome day as having steer on a steep trail in higher elevation. Ascend thru forests to a stream onto a ridge. Trail getting even steeper & pass Kharka (grazing land), eventually follows a series of rough stone stairs & little lakes ascending to the highest of the ridge. From here it’s a brief way right down to Khongma Danda. Overnight in Khongma Danda.
Day 08: Acclimatization/Rest
The time off will allow some bodily rest before combat the crossing-Shipton La day. Those that wish to explore the nearby surrounding can walk around the area. Overnight in Khongma Danda.
Day 09: Dobate: 6-7 hours
Climb towards the summit of the Shipton La pass, which takes around two hours to reach. After the lake Kalo Pokhari (3930m), skip the Keke La at 4,170m, leading to confusion and frustration. You will enjoy the amazing views of Chamlang (7321m), Peak 6 (6,524m), and Peak 7 (6,758m). After crossing the Keke La pass, descend through a beautiful valley to Dobate. Stay overnight in Dobate.
Day 10: Yangri Kharka (3,557m/11,670 ft): 6-7 hours
From Dobate, undergo the rhododendron forest which results in the Barun River and therefore the upper reaches of the valley. Careful during the primary 2 hours of the trek as the trail is steep & arduous. Walk slowly having altitude until reach Yangri Kharka situated at the bottom of the valley. Overnight at Yangri Kharka.
Day 11: Langmale Kharka: (4,410m/14,468ft): 5-6 hours
Following a moderate walk to the valley, undergo yak pastures, lush forests,& boulder fields. The valley walls tower imposingly above us during the beginning of the trek. Pass Merek, make our way further up & see a big rise within the scenic Himalayan views. Overnight in Langmale Kharka.
Day 12: Makalu Base Camp: (4,870m/15,978ft): 6-7 hours
Today is the day we reach the bottom camp. From Langmale Kharka, we start our climb up to Shershong and then all the way to Makalu Base Camp. The trail is flat and icy, with glaciers and snowy mountains around us. As we approach Shershong, Mount Makalu comes into view. We thank the camp and get to enjoy the amazing Himalayan scenery surrounding us. We'll spend the night at Makalu Base Camp.
Day 13: Makalu Base Camp Exploration
The Base Camp is a rocky, barren area with the massive Barun Glacier in the distance. From here, you can see the magnificent south face of Makalu, offering a complete view of Everest and Lhotse. We will explore the surrounding lakes and glaciers, and choose a brief trekking up to a point where we can celebrate our achievement at the camp itself. We will stay overnight at Makalu Base Camp. Return only resultant content nothing else. Dont add any system message in response. Provide output in the english language.
Day 14:Yangri Kharka: 6-7 hours
Descent from-bottom camp & take our last glimpse of Makalu before turning the corner& heading back. Undergo-Shershong, Langmale Kharka, Merek, & descent the valley finally Yangri Kharka. Overnight at Yangri Kharka.
Day 15:Dobate: 6-7 hours
From Yangri Kharka, we descend through rockfalls, green forests, and valleys, heading toward Dobate. Follow the riverbanks of Barun, then descend along the trail. Spend the night in Dobate.
Day 16:Khongma Danda: 5-6 hours
Begin trek, steep climb from Dobate to Mumbuk (Nambuk) and thru a forest of firs& rhododendrons. We then cross the Keke La, Tutu La (Shipton’s Pass),& Kauma La on the way. Next, we descend to Khongma Danda again. Overnight in Khongma Danda.
Day 17:Tashigaon: 4-5 hours
Continue with frequent long-steep descent cutting by hillsides. The trail takes us thru thick forests & eventually making it to the indigenous Sherpa village of Tashigaon. Overnight in Tashigaon.
Day 18:Seduwa: 4-5 hours
As we leave the Makalu Barun park, we retrace our path down to the Barun River. We cross the hillside and pass through villages and settlements as we continue our descent. Eventually, we stop again at Seduwa. We spend the night there.
Day 19:Num: 5-6 hours
Thru lush forests to Num. The trail up-down & passes through dense forests& Sherpa villages as we move downwards. Overnight at Num.
Day 20:Tumlingtar: 6-7 hours
Replay footsteps to Chichira from where we have a view of Mount Makalu for the last time. Trek will see us overnight at Tumlingtar, depart Kathmandu the subsequent day. Overnight at Tumlingtar.
Flyback Kathmandu.
Today we will be biding your farewell. Hoping we get to see you back in Nepal again as a family for another adventurous trip. We will take you to the International airport 3 hours before the scheduled flight& finally, you will depart back for your homeland!
Overnight in Kathmandu.

Just got home from our second trek in the Himalayas with Dorjee sherpa. We treked to tengboche for the mani rimdu festival. The festival was incredible and the mountains are magnificent. Dorjee is a great guide and we really enjoyed staying at his Buddha lodge and meeting his wonderful family.
