Trip Introduction: -

 

Kathmandu- Nagarkot-Pokhara-Lumbini-Chitwan City Tour program is an all-inclusive-tour highlighting the best touristic places in Nepal/World by covering every world heritage sites in Nepal with a mountain flight to Everest region to top it all off. The tour starts off with sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley. A world heritage site, Kathmandu Valley hosts seven world heritage monuments which include three medieval palaces (Kathmandu Durbar Square, Patan Durbar Square and Bhaktapur Durbar Square), two Buddhist monuments (Swoyambhu Stupa and Bouddha Stupa) and two Hindu temples (Pashupatinath and Changu Narayan). The three squares consist of 17th century palaces, courtyards, statues all built in authentic Newari architecture.  

 

The tour also includes side visit to Nargarkot hill & Sarangkot hill for beautiful sunrise (One of the best views in world) and Himalayan views as well as the medieval town of Tansen, Palpa.

December 23- Day 02Sightseeing in Kathmandu and Brief discussion upon the trip (Christmas Day)

After breakfast in the morning we start a small sightseeing in Kathmandu in the three famous UNESCO World heritage enlisted sites: “Pashupatinath Temple” the biggest temple for Hindus, “Swayambhunath Stupa” also known as the monkey temple which is one of the famous religious Stupa for Buddhists and “Boudhanath Stupa” the biggest Stupa in Nepal located in Kathmandu. After this short visit to religious sites we make early preparations for our trip and make sure everything is okay. As it is the second day, we will make you brief introduction on your trip and your guide/s too. At the evening we will host a welcome dinner offering typical Nepalese cuisine in one of the finest Nepalese Restaurants in Kathmandu. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel.

December 24- Day 03: Patan, Bhaktapur, Kathmandu durbar square sightseeing & Overnight at Nagarkot (2,175 m./7,136 ft.)

 

Today we will be visiting the historical monuments in the cities of Patan and Bhaktapur. Patan bestows you with spectacular Patan Durbar Square, Kathmandu durbar Square, Shrines, Stupas, temples, monasteries and Buddhist Stupas. Bhaktapur is one of the medieval cities of Kathmandu Valley. Bhaktapur Durbar Square is the center of attraction of Bhaktapur. The old royal palace, numerous shrines and statues, rich craftsmanship etc are really worth exploring in this region. We will then drive to Nagarkot hill station with is few kilometers away from the main Bhaktapur City. Few hours of drive through the route filled with green trees and rich vegetation would be a great adventure. Upon reaching Nagarkot, we will transfer to the hotel. Later, we will go for enjoying the magical view of Sunset from its vantage point. The view of sunset is really amazing and worth capturing in the cameras. We will then get back to the hotel for the night stay.

December 25-Day 04: Nagarkot to Pokhara (1,740 m/5,710 ft) 225 km, About 6hrs. Drive

Early morning, we will be having the so said one of the best sunrise views from Nagarkot and then after we have breakfast being through Nagarkot enroute visiting Bhaktapur we reach Pokhara. It is the country's second largest city in terms of population and the largest in terms of area. Pokhara is located 200 kilometres (120 miles) west of the capital, Kathmandu. The altitude varies from 827 metres (2,713 feet) in the southern part to 1,740 metres (5,710 feet) in the north. The Annapurna Range, with three out of the ten highest mountains in the world — Dhaulagiri, Annapurna I and Manaslu — is within 15–35 mi (24–56 km) of the valley.  Pokhara is considered the tourism capital of Nepal, being a base for trekkers undertaking the Annapurna Circuit through the Annapurna Conservation Area region of the Annapurna ranges in the Himalayas. The city is also home to a large number of the elite Gurkha soldiers.

December 26-Day 05: Pokhara city tour & Overnight at Sarangkot.

 

Early morning at around 7 am, In Pokhara we will see more of beautiful mountain sceneries. Pokhara offers magnificent views of Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, Machhapuchhare, five peaks of Annapurna and others. Pokhara is city of lakes and has numerous beautiful lakes. We can explore the most accessible and beautiful, Fewa Lake during the afternoon -enjoy boating too. Explore, relax and dine by tranquil Lake Fewa. You can even do some shopping during evening hours.

The view of the Annapurna Himalaya from Sarangkot is almost a religious experience. From here, you can see a panoramic sweep of Himalayan peaks, from Dhaulagiri (8167m) in the west to the perfect pyramid of Machhapuchhare (6997m), the tent-like peak of Annapurna II (7937m) to Lamjung (6983m) in the east. Pokhara City Tour:

Devi’s Fall -

Devi’s Fall is one of the popular tourist sites in Pokhara. It is also popularly known as Patale Chhango (underground water fall). Devi’s Fall is named after the name of Swiss women Ms. Devi. One day in 1961, Ms Devi was swimming near the waterfall of Fewa Dam with her husband and at the same time the dam overflowed suddenly and swept away her into a deep gorge to death in 1961. Since then the waterfall is named as Devi’s Fall. It is and awesome waterfall just 2km south of the Pokhara airport. City buses and taxis are available to go to the waterfall.

 

Gupteswor Cave -

Opposite of the Devi’s fall, there is a beautiful cave. The whole area of the cave is very big and needs well preparation to explore it. The cave also a popular pilgrimage site. There is a natural image of Lord Shiva, which was naturally found beneath the earth. Many devotees visit the cave every day. Well-maintained steps are constructed with sufficient lights to enter into the cave. There is a small tunnel behind the Shiva image that links the cave to the Devi’s fall. It takes about 10 minutes to reach Devi’s fall through the tunnel. It is an exciting part of the cave that adventure visitors have also the opportunity to enjoy the underground view of Devi’s Fall. Since the tunnel is a kind of adventurous aspect that one should take care while being in the tunnel.

 

Mahendra Cave -

Mahendra Cave is another natural wonder in Pokhara is the Mahendra Cave. The cave has not been fully explored yet. It is advised that visitors should have a torch or a guide to enter into the cave. The cave management committee also provides guide a torch if requested. Mahendra Cave is named after the late King Mahendra and is situated some 9 km. North of Pokhara Airport. City buses and taxis are regularly available to go to the cave. There is another cave nearby Mahendra Cave known as the Bat’s Cave or ChamereGupha.

 

Bindabasini Temple -

It is a wonderful and the most popular pilgrimage site located on a small beautiful hillok some 4 km. North of airport. Bindabasini is regarded as Shakti Pitha of goddess Bhagabati. The temple area is like a park and is ideal for sightseeing. There are also few more temples including one Shiva temple nearby Bindabasini Temple.

 

Tibetan Refugee Camp -

There are three Tibetan refugee camps. One is 2km. South from the airport near the Devi’s fall at Chhorepatan, the second is in Prithwichowk and the third is 7km. North of airport in Hemja. All the camps are worth visiting to know Tibetan culture, their tradition and living style. Within the camps there are handicraft centers.

 

Buddhist Monastery -

It is also called Nyeshang Monastery established in 1960 by Manangi Buddhists. This monastery is situated at Matepani about 4km east of the airport. It is built on a small hillock and one can enjoy nice view of Pokhara city as well as the mountain ranges.

 

Seti River -

It is another mysterious natural wonder of Pokhara. Originated from the Machhapuchre glacier, Setiriver runs through the main city area. The river provides a perfect view of its dreadful rush before it goes underground or disappears at Bagar into a deep gorge. The gorge is narrow but very deep that in some place it goes down to more than 60 meters deep. KI Sing Bridge, Mahendrapool and Prithvichowk are the main places to observe the underground river and its roaring sound. The surprising aspect of the river that even during the rainy season the swelling floodwater does not block into the narrow gorge. 

 

Shanti Stupa-

Pokhara Shanti Stupa is a Buddhist pagoda-style monument on Anadu Hill of the former Pumdi Bhumdi Village Development Committee, in the district of Kaski, Nepal (now a part of the city of Pokhara). Shanti Stupa in Pokhara was built by Nipponzan-Myōhōji monk Morioka Sonin with local supporters under the guidance of Nichidatsu Fujii, a Buddhist monk and the founder of Nipponzan-Myōhōji. Shanti is a Sanskrit word meaning peace, also widely used in the Nepali and Hindi languages, and Shanti Stupa means Peace Pagoda. Shanti Stupa shrine was built as a symbol of peace. Situated at the height of 1100 meters on the Anadu Hill, Nichidatsu Fujii laid the foundation stone along with relics of the Buddha on 12 September 1973. Nepal has two of the eighty peace pagodas in the world: Shanti Stupa in Lumbini, the birthplace of the Buddha and Shanti Stupa in Pokhara. Shanti Stupa in Pokhara has also become a tourist attraction. It provides a panoramic view of the Annapurna range, Pokhara city and Fewa Lake.

December 27-Day 06: Sarangkot to Lumbini(150m./495ft.) Overnight 215 km

 

Today early morning drive from Pokhara all the way to Holi city of Lumbini. Enjoy the welcoming programs and cultural programs at hotel. Explore around and rest. Lumbinī is a Buddhist pilgrimage site in the Rupandehi District of Province No. 5 in Nepal. It is the place where, according to Buddhist tradition, Queen Mahamayadevi gave birth to Siddhartha Gautama in 563 BCE. Gautama, who achieved Enlightenment sometime around 528 BCE, became the Buddha and founded Buddhism. overnight at hotel.

December 28-Day 07: Lumbini Sightseeing. (Birthplace of Lord Buddha)

 

Today we will wake up early in the morning and after having the breakfast we will begin our visit at the Lumbini. We can visit at the important archeological places of the Lumbini where we can enjoy the great view of the sacred birthplace of Lord Buddha. Besides, we can also visit at the museum which will enables us to know more about the Buddhism and other several things related with Lord Buddha and his ancient history. Maya Devi Temple

Maya Devi Temple is intended to be dedicated to Maya Devi, mother of Lord Buddha. It appears natural as Lumbini in famous because the birth place of Buddha. The Mayadevi temple is that the heart of all monuments at this holy web site. The temple was engineered throughout the ordinal century. The temple was designed throughout the ordinal century.

Ashoka Pillar

Ashoka Pillar was built in the year of 259BC, which was engineered by King Ashok. King Ashok was also Buddhist. Once he made this pillar, the King exempted the villagers from paying tax and gave out one hundred golden coins to the folks. Within the seventh century, the pillar was affected by lightning and split into two elements. It is the foremost noteworthy monument and an authentic historic document of birthplace of Lord Buddha in Lumbini.

The Sacred garden

The Sacred garden is that the lovely space round the Asoka pillar wherever you'll be able to spend some time in peace and inquisitive around.

The Crane sanctuary

The Crane sanctuary is being designed for the protection and breeding of vulnerable cranes during this space. It’s an attractive place to go to.

The marker stones

Pusakarini Pond

World Peace Pagoda 

This pagoda was built by the Japanese at the cost of US $ 1 million, just outside the main area. The pagoda has the statue of Lord Buddha in the position he took when he was born. It is a gleaming white structure with a golden statue. It is one of the rising attractions of Lumbini.

Dharma Swami Maharaja Buddha Bihar

This Tibetan styled Gompa outside the complex was built by His Eminence Chogya Trichen Ringboche and Raja of Mustang where Tara Puja is conducted every day by the 60 monks who reside there.

China Temple

It is a complex of pagodas, prayer rooms and meditation cells. The other temples and monasteries include the Korean temple, others built by Vietnam, Thailand, Mongolia, Germany, Sri Lanka and other countries.

Lumbini Meuseum

Lumbini Museum on the northern end of the premise is dedicated to the life of Gautam Buddha and houses the photos and artifacts from Buddhist sites all over the world.

With all these attractions of Lumbini, the destination is visited by thousands of Buddhists and Hindu devotees from all around the world along with historians and tourists interested in Buddhist religion and culture. Apart from the structures, Lumbini area is also famous for the wide array of bird species found in its farmland and reservoirs that include the Sarus crane, Indian spotted eagle, gyps, owls and other endangered animals too.  People interested in trekking can also take the Lumbini circuit tour to visit the 64 scattered archaeological sites in the area. Early morning after breakfast we will be heading toward Chitwan which will be around 5 hrs. drive. Chitwan District covers an area of 2,238.39 km2 (864.25 sq mi). Bharatpur is a commercial and service centre of central south Nepal and major destination for higher education, health care and transportation in the region.

December -30 Day 09: Chitwan Safari (Chitwan National Park)

 

This day early morning after breakfast, we will have Chitwan safari on Chitwan national park. This entire day will be a safari and Chitwan national park visit.

The national Park being the major attraction of Chitwan national park. Chitwan National Park is the first national park in Nepal. It was established in 1973 and granted the status of a World Heritage Site in 1984. It covers an area of 952.63 km2 (367.81 sq mi) and is located in the subtropical Inner Terai lowlands of south-central Nepal in the districts of Nawalpur, Parsa, Chitwan and Makwanpur. In altitude it ranges from about 100 m (330 ft) in the river valleys to 815 m (2,674 ft) in the Churia Hills. In the north and west of the protected area the Narayani-Rapti river system forms a natural boundary to human settlements. Adjacent to the east of Chitwan National Park is Parsa National Park, contiguous in the south is the Indian Tiger Reserve Valmiki National Park. The coherent protected area of 2,075 km2 (801 sq mi) represents the Tiger Conservation Unit (TCU) Chitwan-Parsa-Valmiki, which covers a 3,549 km2 (1,370 sq mi) huge block of alluvial grasslands and subtropical moist deciduous forests.

January -1 Day 11: Mountain flight to Everest Region. (New Year’s Day Special)

Early morning after breakfast, we will be heading we will be heading for the mountain flight which will consume couple of hours and rest of the day you will free for you own purpose as per your requirement.

Everest Scenic Flight takes you deep into the Himalayas of the Everest region which gives you a lifetime experience.
